More Information (Lincs Sound is not responsible for external websites)
Learn how to create a wet and needle felted Coral Reef Picture. Choose all your favourite colours of wool and I will show you how to make them into an under the sea picture. This class will focus on how to create bold shapes and patterns in your wet felted art plus add realism in your needle felting. We will spend the morning choosing colours and textures. You’ll learn how to layer up many colours and textures to create depth in the design. Learn how to use silk fibres, wool curls, nepps and pre felt to create a coral reef.
Learn how to wet felt the wool together using hot soapy water, agitation, rolling and throwing to stick the layers together. This process takes about half an hour of using your hands and requires some arm strength.
Learn how to use the felting needles to add spots, dots and swirls to your felted backgrounds. Once you are comfortable with the needles, I will show you how to easily needle felt octopus, fish, turtles and more sea creatures!
The piece will be approximately 40 cm square once felted and it can be displayed on a wall or sewn onto a cushion or bag later on.
